God has a plan for your career!
For many, finding a career can be very challenging despite the walks of their lives. It can be difficult to stay motivated and encouraged. At times, your academic degrees, polished resumes and experience still doesnât get you the job. There are many high and lows a job seeker faces, but the following 10 Bible verses will sustain one during their search.
- Jeremiah 29:11 ââFor I know the plans I have for you,â declares the Lord, âplans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.ââ
You must have confidence that God has planned your life even before you were born, and those plans are ONLY for you to reach your full destiny.
- Proverbs 3: 5-6 âTrust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.â
You have to believe that even though it looks messy, God is moving with purpose. He has a plan for you, far greater than what you imagined for yourself. Instead of telling God what you want to do with your life, ask him where he wants to take you, ask him whatâs the first step for his will for you. Submit to his purpose for your life, and it will lead you to great things.Â
- Â Philippians 4:13 âI can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.â
When you have no idea where youâre going to get the motivation to fill out yet another application, go to yet another interview, receive yet another rejection letter, God is going to pull you through. When youâre ready to give up, heâs going to get you across that finish line.
- Matthew 7:7 âAsk and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.âÂ
All you need to do is tell God youâre ready. Open your heart to his word, and he will lead you to that right application. Heâll provide you with what you need to get through that interview. Heâll open every door you desire to enter.Â
- Job 22:28 âThou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.â
God has given us power in our tongue, so you decree a thing, have faith that it will be established. Say it with your mouth; I am destined for greatness, God has plans to prosper me, I will get a work in my purpose.Â
- 2 Corinthians 5:7Â âFor we live by faith, not by sight.â
Sometimes when God is working, it looks like everything is falling apart. That is when we must keep our faith the most. When you know you did great in that interview but didnât receive the callback, know that God has something better in store.Â
- James 2:26 âFor as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.â
Now, that you have faith, you must do the work. You cannot sit at home doing nothing and expect a job to fall in your lap. Do the work. Put all your efforts into what youâve heard to do and let God handle the rest.Â
- Mark 11:24 âTherefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.â
Find a time in your day, even if itâs for ten minutes each day and form a quiet time. During this Quiet Time, focus on the Lord, deep in prayers and ask for what is Godâs will and pray for that.Â
- Romans 8:18 âAnd we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.â
Be patient! Godâs time is the best time. The right thing at the wrong time can easily be the wrong thing. The difficulty that you are facing now is the story to the glory to come. Itâs the testing time for the testimony. Stay firm.
- 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 âRejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is Godâs will for you in Christ Jesus.â
In all things give thanks no matter what the situation, it shows God that you are grateful for the smallest things and youâll appreciate the bigger things.Â
