Leda Favor, PHR, GPHR, and SHRM-SCP, has over three decades of experience as a generalist in human resources. She specializes in international human resources, labor relations, recruitment, employee counseling, and career planning. Her managerial ability extends to both unionized and non-unionized settings. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Economics from Goucher College and her Master of Arts in Labor/Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois. She has held several significant roles with Fortune 50 companies, including Mobil Oil, Raytheon, Allied Signal, General Cable Company, and Siemens Corporation. She has spent the last decade leading human resources for national and international organizations in countries such as Germany, focusing on delegation assignments, career development, and competency evaluation. During their vacation, Leda and her husband, Professor Kevin Ph.D., travel around China, Spain, Mexico, and the Caribbean. They have one son, Trevor, who graduated from Purdue University with a Master of Mechanical Engineering degree. Her extra interests and pursuits include music, dancing, exercise, and books. She has maintained a strong religious commitment to the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church throughout her life. She currently serves as the chairperson of the local Social Action Committee. The Society of Occupational Health Psychology, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) are other organizations to which the organization is linked. Leda is very proud of her professional credentials from the Society for Human Resource Management's Certification Institute. Her qualifications include SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional), PHR (Professional in Human Resources), and GPHR (Global Human Resources Professional). She has consistently maintained her qualifications throughout the last 31 years. The Manchester Who's Who Registry and the International Who's Who of Professionals are further accolades.
