Zelda Childs
Workforce Development Consultant
Zelda Childs brings over 25 years of community-centered leadership with deep expertise in workforce development, training, and human services. She has served in executive roles across Baltimore City, including leading New Visions Counseling Center, the Interim Housing Program for women and children, and The NOAH Group, which focused on equipping residents with soft skills for workforce re-entry.
Zelda trained individuals navigating job transitions and has developed and facilitated numerous professional development courses for the Baltimore City Health Department. Her facilitation experience spans organizations such as the Office of Education and Training in Addictions (OETAS) and the National Black Alcoholism Council.
A Baltimore native, Zelda holds a B.S. in Mental Health and an M.S. in Sociology from Morgan State University, where she also taught in the Mental Health Department. She earned a Master of Arts in Theology from St. Mary’s Seminary and University and currently serves as senior pastor of Emanuel United Methodist Church in Catonsville, MD, continuing her lifelong commitment to serving others.
